Norco VLT A2 Range Details
The VLT range is designed around a removable Shimano-approved battery. Norco specifically designed the VLT E-MTB range so that the battery can be quickly and easily inserted into the down tube and removed for charging on the bike.
Norco focused on seamlessly integrating Shimano's EP8 motor, which offers higher torque, lighter weight, and greater efficiency. To allow for battery removal without compromising the integrity of the down tube, Norco rotated the front of the EP8 motor upward. The rotated mount also provides greater ground clearance, dramatically reducing the likelihood of impact damage.
The new engine positioning allowed Norco to rethink the suspension layout and kinematics compared to the previous VLT rockers, resulting in an updated horizontal shock absorber configuration and further optimizing the suspension kinematics.
